CIS flips that model on its head. Our approach is rooted in decades of hands-on work, managing large-scale renovations, construction, and roofing projects across North Carolina.

Our Story
Our founder built and ran a successful commercial roofing company specializing in multi-family re-roofing. That work brought constant exposure to capital projects bogged down by inexperience — engineers and consultants fresh out of college making costly decisions without any field context. The disconnect between design and execution led to inefficiencies that cost communities time and money.
This frustration led to a question:
What if capital improvement planning could be led by someone who actually understood how the work gets done?
That question became the foundation of CIS.
Today, we provide expert guidance that bridges the gap between technical planning and real-world application. Our team holds an Unlimited General Contractor’s license and has deep experience managing construction from concept to completion.
